1. Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the onion and cook over a medium heat for 5-6 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and broccoli and cook for a further 2 minutes. 2. Stir in ¾ of the petit-pois and pour in the stock. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-12 minutes. 3. Carefully transfer the soup in batches to a liquidiser or blender and whiz until smooth. 4. Return the soup to the pan and add the remaining petit pois. Bring to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Season to taste and stir in the butter.
