The Food Commission, a campaigning group, is calling for a tax on junk food and fizzy soft drinks to help combat obesity and diabetes in children. They also want a total ban on advertising junk food to pre-school children. The curbs are demanded to counter the £25 billion a year spent on advertising food products to children as young as two.
