Organic Food Safest and Best, says Meacher

Speaking to the Guardian, Michael Meacher describes organic food as "the safest, best food you can get", and criticises FSA director Sir John Krebs for not recognising organic benefits: "I think they are pretty transparent and should be acknowledged… in terms of environmental gains, welfare of animals, avoiding farm pollution and the whole question of the confidence they give". He also confirms that he was sacked from his post.
