Scientists are looking for people willing to take part in the largest ever survey into the arrival of spring.

The BBC is running the survey, called Springwatch, to understand how wildlife is changing with global warming.

Participants are being asked to record their first sightings of six different species - bees, frog spawn, swifts, Peacock butterflies, seven-spot ladybirds and flowering hawthorn.

Sightings can be recorded online at; http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/animals/wildbritain/springwatch/

The survey results will be revealed in a new BBC Two series called Springwatch with Bill Oddie, which will be screened later in the year.

The results will help scientists understand how spring is changing and what needs to be done to help wildlife thrive in the UK.
