Scientists have sounded the alarm over a worrying link between fizzy drinks and one of the most dangerous forms of cancer.
A study backed by Harvard University says there is a 'strong correlation' between rocketing rates of cancer of the oesophagus and a doubling in the amount of fizzy pop that Britons drink.
Over 25 years, cases of the cancer rose by more than 570 per cent in the white American men. The disease hits more than 7,200 people in Britain every year, up 65 per cent in the last
30 years.
