Some of the world's biggest food companies, including Coca-Cola and Mars, are stripping their brand logos from vending machines in schools and introducing healthier foods.
The move comes after tough negotiations with ministers after evidence of an "epidemic" of child obesity.
Yesterday, agreement was reached between Coca-Cola and Scottish officials for its name to be removed form vending machines in schools north of the border.
For the first time, water and fruit juice will be dispensed alongside the company's own products. Similar deals are to be announced across the rest of Britain.
