Since McDonald's, the fast food chain, switched its milk supply to organic in February, sales have gone up by 50 per cent.
McDonald's turned to organic milk in an effort to create a healthier image - it also now uses free-range eggs in its breakfasts. Keith Kenny, McDonald's UK Head of Supply Chain, said: "We were keen to continue our support of British farmers by adding organic milk to our range of high quality products."
