OMSCo ROLLS OUT NEW TANKERS

01 February 2008

Six new eye catching purple and white tankers have been commissioned by The Organic Milk Suppliers’ Cooperative (OMSCo). With a capacity of 26,500 litres each, the 44 tonne vehicles are being rolled out across the South West, Hampshire and Sussex. The tankers have been leased by OMSCo’s distribution partner, Gregory’s Distribution Limited, and will be gracing the road with immediate effect.

OMSCo’s previous fleet of leased tankers were due for retirement, presenting them with the opportunity to update the livery to represent their branding. The cabs of the new tankers are in stylish purple, and OMSCo’s logo is clearly visible from the side and back of each vehicle.

Rosie Palmer, marketing manager for OMSCo said, “The addition of these new tankers to our fleet will ensure that we can continue to offer our members and customers the benefits of an uninterrupted supply chain despite the increased volumes we’re transporting.”

OMSCo has 350 members, making it the UK’s largest organic milk supplier co-operative. Demand for organic milk continues to grow at rate of 20% a year. OMSCo forecasts that the total organic milk market in 2008 will rise to 443 million litres, an increase of 68 million litres on 2007.
