The Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (OMSCo) has today launched a new, improved website to mark the organisation's 10th anniversary. The already award-winning site receives around 10,000 visitors a month and is one of the most popular organic sites on the internet.
It has been revised to improve accessibility, and OMSCo is one of the first companies to respond to regulations outlined in the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), ensuring that its informative site can be used by all.
OMSCo, the largest and longest established cooperative of organic dairy farmers, has made a number of website changes that address accessibility issues for a range of disabilities including visual, audio, motor and learning disabilities. The revisions that have been made to the function and visual look of the site benefit all users, making it clearer to navigate and easier to find out more about organic milk.
The OMSCo site contains everything you would ever want to know about organic milk, including sections on how organic milk is produced, where to buy organic milk and dairy products, delicious recipes, holidays on organic farms and much more.
One of the most popular features of the site is the competition page which gives users the opportunity to win exciting organic prizes, such as the current prize of an organic Christmas hamper worth ?100. Visit www.omsco.co.uk to find out more.
Sally Bagenal, OMSCo's Chief Executive, comments "We have come a long way over the last 10 years and we are delighted to mark our birthday with the launch of the improved website. The site is a fantastic resource for consumers who want to find out more about how organic milk is produced and what makes it special. It contains a wealth of information and we are extremely pleased that it is now inclusive and accessible to everyone."
OMSCo runs a sophisticated marketing and PR campaign, of which the website is a key part. This has helped to increase the awareness of the benefits of drinking organic milk, and in 03-04 sales of organic milk grew by 25%.
