OMSCo 'TAKE THE HIGH ROAD' TO SCOTTISH ORGANIC MILK MARKETING

A year into the pioneering partnership with First Milk, OMSCo Scotland is marketing almost 100 per cent of the nation's organic milk.

The partnership gives Scottish organic dairy farmers a united voice and full representation in the growing organic dairy industry in Scotland. As a result of the new organisation, two directors - Michael McCreath, a member of First Milk, and Anthony Ellis, a member of OMSCo - were appointed to the OMSCo UK board, protecting their national interests whilst working alongside the UK organic dairy market leader.

"The creation of Scotland's first dedicated organic milk partnership is a huge boost of confidence for Scotland’s organic milk industry," explained Scottish organic dairy farmer Michael McCreath. "OMSCo Scotland has been created by Scottish farmers and will be run for the benefit of Scottish farmers, making us a key player in Scotland, and a credible voice in the UK."

"First Milk's unique partnership with OMSCo Scotland will strengthen the organic milk industry in Scotland, and will hopefully start a culture of partnership and co-operation across the remainder of the UK, that can only benefit the organics industry."
