OMSCo’s successful marketing campaign has won a number of different independent awards:
Awarded by the Institute of Packaging
The Institute of Packaging’s Starpack Awards are the UK packaging industry’s most prestigious awards, aimed at raising packaging standards in the UK by rewarding and encouraging creativity.
OMSCo was presented with a bronze award and was a finalist in the Polimoon Award for Ergonomic Design in Rigid Plastic Packaging, for the innovative packaging of its ‘Altogether Better’ organic milk brand, which is specifically designed to make handling and storage of the milk easier and less messy
Awarded by the Daily Telegraph
The poster adverts to launch OMSCo’s Altogether Better milk in March 2005 were featured in the Telegraph on Tuesday 22 March 2005. The ads were reviewed by the paper, which stated that the retro style and the originality of the ‘goodness’ theme made it a clear choice for ‘Ad of the Week’.
Awarded by the Institute of Public Relations
OMSCo’s public relations programme won this award for the ‘Giant Reaction’ campaign. The campaign raised awareness of the use of pesticides in non-organic dairy farming and the potential link between pesticide residues in food and a decline in male fertility. This stunt involved mocking up a ten-foot glass of organic milk in the hand of the Cerne Abbas Giant.
Awarded by the Association of Media Evaluation Companies
OMSCo constantly evaluates the effectiveness of its public relations programme. This ensures that we understand more about what you, the consumer, are interested in and care about.
Awarded by The Daily Telegraph newspaper in association with Sage, the world’s leading supplier of business management software.
These awards are intended to reward businesses of all sizes with a range of honours, and include a category for the imaginative and innovative use of the web. The OMSCo website was short-listed for this prestigious award, and was placed third nationally.
This award recognises efforts to increase consumer awareness of the benefits of organic food and the issues surrounding its production. OMSCo was praised for its bold and broad-based campaign to encourage consumers to buy more organic milk. This included producing an organic food guide for parents with toddlers, information boards on the footpaths of organic farms, and promoting a health messages in the consumer media.
The OMSCo website was reviewed by internet magazine, New Media Age, and scored a fantastic 81/100. This included a score of 25/25 for content and the magazine stated that the site offers an intelligent and convincing case for organic dairy farming.
